Ink Review #214: Sailor Sei-Boku

Hi everyone! Today we are following up yesterday’s Sou-Boku ink with Sei-Boku. Sei-Boku is the older sister to Sou Boku. It is a nano-pigment, waterproof ink.

Swabs:

This is a mid-blue with medium shading and sheen. The color is bright and pleasant, and reminds me of a hot summer’s day.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

Limonaired Ink Test Card

This ink had a long dry time at 45 seconds and high water resistance.

Writing Sample:

Tomoe River Paper 52 gsm

This ink had an average flow. I really liked the depth of the shading as well as the red sheen.

Overall: Sailor Sei-Boku is a bright blue with an average flow.
