Today I’ll be reviewing Lamy Blue which is a standard blue ink. Writing this review was a bit nostalgic as this blue was one of my very first forays into fountain pen ink. I have a huge soft spot for Lamy Safaris and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to write this review (especially since a complimentary cartridge is provided with every Safari order).
Swabs:
This ink had low shading and low sheen. This is a royal blue similar to the color used in rollerballs and ballpoint pens.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:
This ink had a longer dry time at 45 seconds and low-medium water resistance.
Writing Sample:
This ink had a consistent, slightly dry flow.
Overall: I’m happy I had the chance to review this color. It’s bright, legible, and is a professional blue.
