Ink Review #264: Taccia Ukiyo-e Sharaku Koiame

Today I’ll be talking about another Ukiyo-e ink. This is a roasted orange that reminds me of pumpkin spice and the fall.

Swabs:

This ink had high shading and sheen. The color is a deep orange that has less yellow hues compared to Robert Oster Burnt Orange.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

This ink had a longer dry time at 40 seconds and low water resistance.

Writing Sample:

This ink had a wet and consistent flow. The color is a very pleasant dark orange.

Overall: Sharaku Koiame would be a perfect orange ink for the fall.
