Happy Holidays! Recapping Pens & Inks in 2021

Hello readers,

Happy holidays! I wanted to wrap up 2021 by sharing my feelings about the year.

I repurchased the Aurora Demo Rosa from a friend. I impulsively bought a Lamy Nexx <M>. As always, the Pilot 823 is my workhorse for notes, whereas the Lamy 2000 is my preferred pen for ink reviews.

Inks:

I still have the usual inks: Pilot Iroshizuki Take-Sumi, Pilot Iroshizuku Kiri-Same, Montblanc Midnight Blue, and Taccia Ao-Guro Black. I would like to highlight some inks for this year—

  • Favorite blue: Montegrappa Harry Potter Ravenclaw Blue

  • Favorite golden yellow: Color Traveler Ninoshima Baumkuchen

  • Favorite pink: Robert Oster Sushi Favorite olive-green: PenBBS #224 Tolstoy

Keyboards:

I really enjoyed building an acrylic Prime_E from Prime Keyboards. I also tried a LOT of switches.

  • Navy Maja with hot-swap PCB

  • IFK Comfy keycaps

  • TTC Bluish White switches (great tactility) // Gazzew U4 Boba 62g silent switches

Medical School:

They say that the second year of medical school is the hardest. This past semester was tough. I was very stressed out with classes and board exams.

On a more positive note, I am trying to become more cognizant of my mental and physical health, and have started walking/jogging again. There’s something about being outside, and enjoying the fresh air, that is very rejuvenating.

Conclusion/Upcoming News:

For next year, I would like to have 1000 posts on this blog.

Thank you to everyone who reads this blog. Here’s to 2022, and happy holidays!
