Notebook Review: Fabriano EcoQua

Today I will be reviewing Fabriano EcoQua notebook which was gifted to me. 

Background:

A5 size. 

Fabriano notebooks are manufactured in Italy and are available in multiple colors. This notebook is A5 sized and staplebound. You can find these notebooks on Amazon in dot-grid, lined, or blank paper.

Paper:

This notebook had water damage when I received it. It contained 40 sheets of 85 gsm, acid free paper. The paper was smooth to write on. In regards to thickness, the paper is between Tomoe River 52 gsm and Rhodia paper.

Ink:

This notebook handled fountain pen ink well. There was faint feathering but no bleeding with wet inks. There was light ghosting visible on the back of the page. The paper did not show off shading very well so I wouldn’t recommend this notebook for testing shading and sheen.
