Ink Review #530: Pelikan Edelstein Moonstone

Today we will be reviewing Pelikan Edelstein Moonstone. This was Pelikan’s 2020 Ink of the Year and was released alongside a matching M205 fountain pen. I’ve been looking forward to reviewing this color for a while now.

Swabs:

This ink had high shading and no sheen. It is a cool gray similar to Kala Opal.

Dry Time/Water Resistance:

Tsubame Note Ink Collection Card

This ink had an average dry time of 15 seconds and medium water resistance.

Writing Sample:

This ink had a dry flow, similar to other Pelikan inks. It goes on a warm gray but transitions into a cooler shade when dry.

Overall: Pelikan Edelstein Moonstone is a light gray ink with high shading and a dry flow.
