Swabs:
This ink had low shading and sheen. It is similar to Tono & Lims Dynamite and Pilot Iroshizuku Shin Kai and a few shades lighter than Taccia Ao-guro.

Overall: Horten 229 is a dark blue with some shading and sheen.
