This ink had no shading or sheen. The color is a dark, grayish mauve.

This ink had a longer dry time at 50 seconds and no water resistance.

This ink had a smooth, wet flow.
Overall: Breakthrough is a dusty purple with a long dry time. I loved the color, which is similar to Sailor Studio 223.
