Happy December! I am kickstarting this wintery month with another Birmingham ink. I have to say that I have been impressed with their samples lately! Silent Spring is a gorgeous navy blue.
The name hearkens to Rachel Carson's book, Silent Spring. Rachel Carson was a marine biologist who is recognized for her contributions to environmental contribution. In her book, she advocated fiercely against the adverse effects caused by pesticides. This publication led to an environmental movement which eventually led to the creation of the U.S Environmental Protection Agency.
Swabs:
This ink had no sheen, high shading, and a quick dry time.
Writing Sample:
I absolutely loved this ink. It is dreamy! I had no issues with it in either of my pens.
Overall: This is a beautiful navy blue with characteristic shading!
