Today I’m excited to introduce my first Franklin-Christoph pen. This is the Model 20 Marietta in Vintage Green.
Design (5/5): This is a slim pen with a slip-cap design. Franklin-Christoph states that their design allows the pen to remain securely capped. I’m ashamed to admit that this pen has seen some abuse. There have been some mornings where I’ve tossed this pen in my bag and rushed to work. Miraculously, this pen manages to stay securely capped without any ink disasters! The pen is able to be posted and is very light (0.8 oz; 22.7 g).
Color (5/5): This design is available in several colors but I decided on the Vintage Green. This is an elegant olive/seaweed green which shines beautifully in the sunlight. I can see myself using this pen in the summer and fall.
Nib (4.5/5): This pen came with a standard F-C #6 <M> steel nib. One of the things I love about Franklin-Christph is the ability to swap nibs whenever you please. This pen currently houses an Esterbrook <M>.
Ink Capacity (4.5/5): I would describe this as a multi-functional pen. It is able to be filled with a converter, cartridge, or eyedroppered. Therefore, the ink capacity varies according to writer preference.
Overall (4.5/5): I adore this pen! It’s always comfortable in my hand and I find myself reaching to use it often. I highly recommend perusing Franklin-Christoph’s models and look forward to purchasing from them in the future.
